When is Royal View RV Park Open
Royal View RV Park is open year round for long term stays. These stays must be for a minimum of 2 months. Stays of 6 months or longer will receive the best pricing. Long Term Stays need to contact the RV Park directly to receive the best pricing and availability.
.We are open for overnight stays and seasonal stays from May 15 – Sept 15. These reservations may be made online via the “Book Now” button.
Is there an Age Restriction for Royal View RV Park
Royal View RV Park is an adult only RV Park & Campground. We require all guests to be over the age of 35. All visitors must be over that age as well.
Do you allow Pets?
We allow 2 pets per RV site for free. A 3rd pet is permitted for $5 per day with a maximum of $25 per month.
We have 2 large fenced in pet areas for your pets to play and exercise in. Both are large by RV standards and 1 includes an agility course. This is in addition to the trails we have where you can walk your pets. Pet policy can be read here.
NO pets are permitted at or in the Glamping Tents and Cabins.
Can my Grandchildren visit?
Grandchildren are only permitted if they are over the age of 35. The same goes for children visiting a parent who is divorced or seperated.
How is the Wifi?? Is it Free?
Our wifi is free, it is provided by Starlink and we have multiple access points. We also have multiple trees and a rolling landscape. If you are wanting to work while you are here we would suggest investing in your own wifi. We will not promise a speed or connectivity rate. All customers have access to the internet and speeds will vary according to usage. Sometimes moving locations in your RV will help with connections, metal homes, buildings do have a connection issue at times.
Does Royal View offer Discounts
We honor discounts for valid Good Sam members. You will receive a 10% discount for all nightly stays up to 7 nights with a valid Good Sam membership.

Do you have a Laundry??
We have a coin operated laundry that is open 24 hours. The machines are clean and large. This is only available for registered guests.
Distance to Grocery, Fuel, Hospital etc.
The closest town to the East is Canon City. It is approx. 9 miles. There are multiple gas stations throughout. City Market, Walmart and Safeway are all located in the town. There is an Urgent Care facility as well as a Hospital with an Emergency Room.
Where are you located?
We are located appox. 9 miles West of Canon City, Colorado on the West Side of US Hwy 50. We are between mile markers 269 and 270. Our entrance is 1 mile West of the entrance to the Royal Gorge Bridge road and 100 yards East of the intersection of US 50 and Hwy 9, your entrance to the Gold Belt Tour.
We are approximately 1 hour SW of Colorado Springs via Hwy 115, approximately 55 miles East of Salida and approximately 2 hours S of Breckenridge.
Do you have a shuttle or rental car available
We do not have a shuttle service. There is a taxi service in Canon City and there may be ride share services available if you have the app.
Rental Cars are available in Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Sometimes there is availability in Canon City but the schedule is erratic.
What are your office hours and when is Check-In??
Our office is open daily from 9am -5pm between May 15 – Sept. 15.
Check-In is from 12pm – 6pm daily. Late arrivals need to contact the office to make arrangements 719-275-1900. No late check-ins without prior arrangements.
Why do I not have an option for Tent Camping??
Royal View RV Park no longer permits Tent camping. We do not permit Tents for accomodations or sleeping on any Site. Any shade tent erected must be see through at all times. No storage tents which are not 100% transparent.
Do you have Cable TV
No we do not offer Cable TV. There is also no over the air channels available in this area. Streaming services can be utilized via our Starlink internet and if you have a Satellite Dish most sites have a clear view for reception. No we will not cut trees to accommodate your reception.
Washing of RV and Vehicles
We do not permit washing of RV’s or vehicles. We have to truck all water for the RV Park, thus we do not want to waste it washing vehicles. Canon City has numerous vehicle wash services available for use. We do not permit private vendors to wash vehicles on site even if they bring their own water. If you are caught washing your RV or vehicles we will appreciate your $50 fine and expulsion from the park.
Refund for Cancellations
We offer Camping Credit for cancellations based upon the terms when you made your reservation. We do not offer any monetary compensation only Credit. If you cancel within 5 days of arrival there will not be any credit issued . Cancellations minimum of 6 day before arrival will receive credit minus 1 nights rate of the amount paid. What About the Weather
Most days start out a bit cooler, between 50-60 degrees, and warm up throughout the day reaching a high between 4pm-6pm. Evenings are usually a bit breezy with temperatures settling down to below 60 degrees once the sun sets. Days are long with sunrise at or before 6am and sunset after 8pm, allowing for many hours of exploration.
No we cannot tell you what the temperature will be on a given day or week any more than you can tell us what it would be like in your home town. We do know that there is an abundance of sunlight and great weather throughout the year in the Royal Gorge Region of Colorado. We have decided to not charge extra for nice days so we will not be responsible for bad or undesirable weather days either. Lets make the best of everything and understand that it is what it is.
